R2S2R: Building the Infrastructure for Physical AI

Scaling Physical AI Through Real2Sim2Real Infrastructure
Connecting real-world 3D acquisition, physically grounded digital twins, simulation and robotics.
ALLSIDES is collaborating with Industrial Next and the broader Sim2World ecosystem to advance Real2Sim2Real workflows for Physical AI. At the center of this collaboration is the Real2Sim2Real Arena, a 10,000-square-foot robotics facility in San Francisco, designed to connect real-world tasks, simulation environments, data generation and robotic deployment. By integrating automated 3D scanning and physically grounded 3D data into this ecosystem, ALLSIDES contributes to the infrastructure needed to develop, train and evaluate robotic systems at scale.
Closing the Real2Sim2Real Gap
Robotic training relies on simulation, but differences in geometry, materials, and physical properties can prevent learned behaviors from transferring to the real world. Closing this gap requires physically grounded 3D data at a scale. ALLSIDES addresses this challenge through its 3D Digital Twin Factory, producing SimReady digital twins with sub-millimeter geometry, measured PBR materials and physical properties. These assets support realistic robotic manipulation, simulation-based training, and real-world evaluation.
Introducing the Real2Sim2Real Arena
Developed by Industrial Next, the Real2Sim2Real Arena provides physical infrastructure for robotics research, simulation and real-world deployment. Located at Industrial Next’s San Francisco headquarters, the facility brings together:
- 10,000 sq. ft. of robotics infrastructure.
- 50+ robots across mobile bimanual and stationary industrial configurations.
- Dexterous manipulation systems for physical interaction research.
- Simulation and data infrastructure supporting Real2Sim2Real workflows.
- An open ecosystem connecting startups, research institutions and industry partners.
The Arena is part of Sim2World, a coalition focused on addressing the technical challenges of transferring robotic capabilities from simulation into the physical world.
Physically Grounded 3D Data for Robotics
Robotic simulation requires accurate representations of real-world objects, including geometry, materials and physical properties that determine how objects behave during manipulation and assembly. ALLSIDES provides end-to-end 3D data infrastructure, transforming physical objects into SimReady digital twins within minutes through an automated pipeline powered by NVIDIA accelerated computing.
Our infrastructure combines:
01 — Automated 3D Acquisition
High-resolution capture of real-world objects with automated scanning systems, supporting hundreds of object categories.
02 — Neural Reconstruction
AI-powered reconstruction of sub-millimeter accurate geometry and fully relightable, measured PBR materials using NVIDIA accelerated computing.
03 — Physical Properties
Enrichment with measured mass, high-resolution SDF and convex decomposition colliders, friction coefficients, and derived physical properties including center of mass, inertia tensor and restitution.
04 — SimReady Digital Twins
Physically grounded 3D assets with structured metadata, prepared for direct integration into NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Omniverse and other simulation environments.
05 — 3D Data Platform
Scalable infrastructure for managing, inspecting, retrieving and delivering physically grounded 3D datasets in formats including OpenUSD, GLB and OBJ.
Together, these capabilities enable industrial-scale production of SimReady 3D data for robotics training, Physical AI and simulation.
Advancing Physical AI Through Collaboration
The Real2Sim2Real Arena brings together companies and researchers working across different components of the Physical AI stack. Industrial Next provides the robotics infrastructure and coordinates the Arena ecosystem. ALLSIDES contributes automated 3D acquisition and physically grounded 3D data infrastructure. Other participating companies and research teams contribute expertise across simulation, robotics, data generation and deployment. The shared objective is to address open technical challenges in Real2Sim2Real workflows through collaboration, experimentation and benchmarking.
